Gluten Free Resources

These are the websites and apps we personally use to explore safely, both locally and abroad.

Coeliac Australia

Coeliac Australia is a great resource if you’re newly diagnosed with coeliac disease. We found it helpful when Loredana was first diagnosed in Australia. We also purchased a membership, which we feel is worth it. It includes a starter kit with gluten-free goodies (which is awesome!), two magazine issues annually, a monthly newsletter, and one free entry to the Gluten-Free Expo. This isn’t an affiliate link—just a genuine recommendation for Coeliac Australia.

Find Me Gluten Free (FMGF)

Find Me Gluten Free is an app and website that helps people with coeliac disease and gluten intolerance find safe, gluten-free restaurants and businesses. Users can search for nearby options, read reviews, and view menu details and safety practices for a location. We use the app regularly both locally and abroad and have contributed dozens of reviews to the app. We love FMGF! You can use our code “GOBEYONDGLUTEN” to get $5 off a premium membership for the first year, which removes in-app ads, enhances the map experience, and gives you access to special filters, like the “most celiac friendly” filter.

Google Maps

Using Google Maps is a great way for people with coeliac disease to find gluten-free restaurants and stores (it’s free!). You can search for gluten-free options, read reviews from others with similar dietary needs, and check menus or websites for safe choices. You can also find contact details for restaurants on their Google Maps listing and reach out directly to clarify their procedures for avoiding cross-contact. The only downside is that you might spend more time searching through the many listings and reviews…

We only ever recommend businesses, products, websites, and apps we personally use and love. Some of the links above are affiliate links and, at no cost to you, we may earn a small commission that helps keep this website running — keeping it free for all to use!
